Medicaid Data Impact Award

Celebrating policy impact using federal Medicaid claims data.

About the Award

The MDLN Medicaid Data Impact Award recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the Medicaid data research community. The award honors work that advances the use of Medicaid data to inform policy, improves analytic rigor and transparency, and strengthens shared learning across institutions.

Consistent with MDLN’s founding commitment to collaboration over competition, the award celebrates researchers, analysts, and partners who generously share expertise, develop practical tools or guidance, support peer learning, and help others navigate the complexity of Medicaid administrative data.

The award is presented annually to an individual whose contributions reflect the spirit of MDLN: improving the quality, accessibility, and policy impact of Medicaid data research.
